Victoria

There is a tv show that my mother and I have been loving. It is called Victoria. It is on the PBS Masterpiece show. The show is about Queen Victoria. My mother thinks it’s better than the tv show Reign.

This past Sunday was the season finale. Queen Victoria has her first kid out of nine kids in the season finale. The new season won’t be on until August. I can’t wait. I love the theme song on the show.

Great news

This morning my mother and I got a big surprise this morning. I heard a meow at the front door. I thought it was Sneezy, the male cat. But it wasn’t. It was Lilly!!!! She came home!!! She has been gone for about three weeks.

What is weird is that yesterday I decided to do a lost poster thing on Pawboost. When I checked my email this morning Pawboost asked if she had returned. Isn’t that strange?

Also I found another song that I posted in two weeks on my movie post. I still haven’t found that song I have been trying to remember.

Here is a picture of my haircut.

Resident Evil: Afterlife

For my Resident Evil marathon, I watched Resident Evil: Afterlife. It is the fourth movie of the movie series. It has Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Kim Coates, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, and Wentworth Miller.

Warning: there is lots of violence.

In Resident Evil: Afterlife, Many Alices take over the Umbrella Corp headquarters. Sadly they were killed in an explosion by the head of Umbrella Corp.who gets on a helicopter. The real Alice is on the helicopter too. He sadly makes her human again which is sorta a good thing. She goes to Alaska to see if Claire and the others are ok. She finds Claire with no memory. They go to LA and find other survivors and they tell them that Alaska was the safe haven. It’s a ship. The survivors have a prisoner which turns out to be Claire’s brother. (Wentworth Miller who plays him is on the show Prison Break. On the movie, he breaks them out of prison too. By the way, he’s so cute.) Later on, they find out the ship is run by Umbrella Corp. They rescue the others, but then more Umbrella Corp people come.

Next week I’m taking a small break to watch Before I Fall. After that, I will watch Resident Evil: Retribution.

Digital Fortress

Over the weekend I finished reading Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. It is a standalone book. It isn’t part of the Robert Landon book series. Although I did find out he does have a new Robert Landon book coming out in October.

Warning: there is a surprise twist that I didn’t expect.

Digital Fortress is about a woman named Susan Fletcher. She works at the NSA as a cryptographer. She’s engaged to a professor. She is called into work on a Saturday because her boss found a code that an expensive code breaking machine couldn’t break. She and the professor do break the code and save the NSA.

The book reminds of Edward Snowden and what he did. Now I’m reading The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry.

You can get this book at Wordery.com, Kobo.com, and Downpour.com.

Birthday weekend and other stuff

Today is my mother’s best friend’s birthday!! Tomorrow is my best friend’s birthday!!

I did get a birthday card for my best friend. I don’t think we will be able to celebrate it. She will be 38 years old tomorrow.

I did get my hair cut yesterday. Also,  I tried to get rid of two gifts cards I didn’t know I had. They are Kohls gift cards. I got some opaque tights. I still have money on one card.

I finally decided to listen to a radio station online so I can find that song I can’t remember. They haven’t played it yet.

Resident Evil: Extinction

For my Resident Evil marathon, I watched Resident Evil: Extinction yesterday. I do remember seeing most of this movie, but I didn’t remember seeing the ending. The Resident evil movie series is based on the video game. It has Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Ali Larter, Spencer Locke, and Linden Ashby in it. Big Warning: there is lots of violence and one sad part. In Resident Evil: Extinction, the Umbrella Corp makes copies of Alice. The reason is because they lost track of her. She had hacked into the satellite system. She does it again when they try to get her to shut down. She decides to join the convoy that

Warning: there is lots of violence and one sad part.

In Resident Evil: Extinction, the Umbrella Corp makes copies of Alice. The reason is because they lost track of her. She had hacked into the satellite system. She does it again when they try to get her to shut down. She decides to join the convoy that is run by Claire and Carlos. One of the head of Umbrella Corp gets bit by one of the hybrids and he is finally killed by the AI little girl.

By the way, my mother thought the song I can’t remember, but then she forgot the name of it too. Hopefully I will be able to name it on here next week. Next week I’m watching Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Going Clear (book)

I finished listening to Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright.

At first, I wasn’t going to read another book about Scientology, but it was mentioned by Leah Remini on her show. I am so glad that I did read this book. It was well researched. It was really good. I had wanted to know more about Scientology. I wanted to know what the basic idea of it. I don’t need to read Dianetics now. From what it sounds like is a type of hypnosis or saying something many times until you believe it. After L. Ron Hubbard sold Dianetics, people started copying it and the idea wasn’t making money anymore. So the “religion” was a front to make money.

I do highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about Scientology. Now I’m reading Digital Fortress by Dan Brown.

You can get this book on Wordery.com, Downpour.com, and Kobo.com.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse

For my Resident Evil marathon, I watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse. There are six movies in the series. It has Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Jared Harris, and Sophie Vavasseur in it.

Warning: There is lot so violence.

In Resident Evil: Apocalypse, it shows what happens when the team reopens The Hive and how the virus got out. A doctor who made the virus called Alice and some others to get them to save his daughter. His daughter had been injected with a different strain of the virus was made her be able to walk again. Alice also was injected with the virus was made her superhuman. They rescued the little girl, but another team of the Umbrella Corp. captured them. They made Alice and Max fight. Alice and the others got away, but the helicopter crashed. Alice was captured again and made into more superhuman.

I don’t think I had seen the first of this movie. I did remember the middle and end of the movie. Next week I’m watching Resident Evil: Extinction.

Incubus Dreams

Saturday I finished reading Incubus Dreams by Laurell K Hamilton. It is the 12th book of the Anita Blake book series. There are 27 books in the book series.

Warning: There is lots of sex in this one.

I didn’t really like this book. I had to make myself read until the end because I wanted to know what with the couple who hit Anita and the case was working on. The case was that strippers were getting killed. It was a master vampire that killed them. At the end of the book,  it was revealed who the master vampire was, but he got away.

Now I’m listening to Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright.
