Terminator Dark Fate

I watched Terminator Dark Fate a weeks ago. I taped it when it was on Epix. It has Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta in it.

In this movie, a terminator comes to kill a girl named Dani. A woman named Grace comes back from the future to save her. Sarah Conner learns about this terminator from a text and goes to kill it. Sarah offers help to Grace and Dani. They go to find out who is sending the texts that Sarah was getting. They find out the terminator who killed John is still “alive” and he is the one who is sending the texts. He also offers to help. Grace ends up saving them by killing the terminator.

I loved this movie. Next week I will post about Zathura A Space Adventure and Sunshine.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

I watched Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom a few weeks ago. I had taped it when it was on HBO. It has Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, BD Wong, Jeff Goldblum, Geraldine Chaplin, Isabella Sermon, Toby Jones, Justice Smith, and James Cromwell in it.

Warning: there is lots of violence.

Side Note: I just don’t understand people. Why did they want weaponized a dino when knowing they can’t really control them.They are animals after all. Plus they all wanted it, but yelled, screamed, and ran away once they are loose.

In this movie, Owen gets word that there was plans to move the dinos to a saver place because the volcano was going to explode. They wanted Owen to help them get Blue, one of the raptors he grew close to. He agrees, but he finds out that Eli had other plans. He was going to weaponize the dinos like he did with one T Rex. He was also selling off the dinos to some powerful people. Owen, Claire, and Maisie does put a stop it and releases the dinos.

I did like this movie. I can’t wait for the next one.

Annihilation

I decided to watch Annihilation yesterday instead of Yentl. I taped Annihilation when it was on Epix. It has Natalie Portman, Benedict Wong, Sonoya Mizuno, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tuva Novotny, and Tessa Thompson in it.

In this movie, a biologist named Lena has a husband in the military. Kane gets a mission which he can’t tell her about. Then he goes missing. Lena tries to move on, and then Kane suddenly appears back home. But he is different and he becomes very sick. While going to the hospital, the military stops them. Lena learns that the mission her husband was on. There is a shimmer that took over a huge piece of land and they were sending people in the shimmer to find out why it is there and how to stop it from growing even more. Lena joins the group and goes in the shimmer. She finds out her husband is dead and she figures out how to kill the shimmer. But her DNA is changed from being in the shimmer for a long period of time.

I sorta liked this movie. Next week I will watch Yentl.

Dead Pets Don’t Lie

I finished reading Dead Pets don’t Lie by Joe Ardis and Donna Lee Howell. I decided to read this book because of a documentary that featured the authors.

I do recommend this book to all pet owners.

This book is a non-fiction book about the dangers and lies that goes on in the pet food industry. Some stuff I knew about because I used to follow and get Susan Thixton’s newsletters. Things you learn in this book: rendering plants, what things are put in pet foods, the dangers of flea medication, etc.

I liked this book. I’m reading next Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. Behind Her Eyes is a limited series on Netflix. My mother asked me to watch it and it’s awesome. Now I want to read the book.

Tomb Raider (2018)

I watched Tomb Raider (2018) a few weeks ago. This is a remake/reboot of the first Tomb Raider movie back in 2001. I taped this movie when it was on HBO. This remake/reboot has Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, and Kristin Scott Thomas in it.

Warning: there is some violence and a sad part at the end.

In this movie, Lara Croft’s father goes missing and presumed dead. He likes to go treasure hunting. Lara Croft discovers a secret room which she finds out what her father was doing when he went missing. He was on the hunt of a queen who has supposedly magical powers over life and death. He tells not to pursue the mission in a video, but she does of course. She goes with Lu Ren to where the queen’s tomb is. They get captured by a man who is also looking for the queen. He works for a company called Trinity. Lara gets away and finds her father alive. They do find the queen. The queen was infected with a disease. Anyone who touches her corpse will be infected too. Lara’s father gets infected and sacrifices himself and Lara infects the other man and gets away. At home, she finds out Trinity is one of the companies her father company oversees.

I sorta liked this movie. Next week I will post about Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Terminator Dark Fate.

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum

I watched John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum a few weeks ago. I taped it when it was on HBO. It has Keanu Reeves (love him), Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Asia Kate Dillon, Anjelica Huston, and Susan Blommaert in it.

In this movie, John Wick is running out of time. Although they do allow him until 6pm. He takes his dog to The Continental. John decides to go back to his roots to the assassin group who put the hit on him, to go back to work for them to get the hit called off. But the catch is that he has to kill Winston, his best friend who owns The Continental. John doesn’t want to kill Winston and Winston doesn’t want to kill John. But the adjudicator forces Winston’s hand by saying he has to step down from being CEO of the hotel. So Winston makes a deal with the adjudicator about keeping his hotel and he throws John off the balcony. John is mad so chapter 4 is more revenge.

I loved this movie. I can’t wait until Chapter 4.

House of Versace

I watched House of Versace yesterday. I taped it when it was on Ovation Network. It has Gina Gershon, Enrico Colantoni, Colm Feore, Samantha Hodhod, and Stefano DiMatteo.

Warning: there is a little bit of violence and sad parts.

This movie is about how Donatella took over the Versace fashion line after her brother was killed.

I liked this movie. Next week I’m watching Yentl.

Glass

I watched Glass about two weeks ago. I taped it when it was on HBO. It has James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sarah Paulson, Spencer Treat Clark, and Charlayne Woodard in it.

Side Note: You should see the movie Unbreakable and Split to be understand this movie.

Big Warning: there is some violence and a bittersweet ending.

In this movie, David has been on the hunt to find Dennis. Dennis had kidnapped three cheerleaders. David’s son helps him to find him. David does find him and saves the girls. Then David and Dennis is taken to a psych ward. In the same psych ward, Mr. Glass is there. A psychiatrist there “believes” all three are lying about being superheroes (and villains) and they don’t have superhero (and villain) powers. Mr. Glass fakes being dumb and makes his escape with Dennis. He tells David to use his powers to escape. The psychiatrist actually works for a group to help stop from superheroes to being in the spotlight and to “restore the balance.” Mr. Glass exposes this.

I loved this movie.

Aquaman

I watched Aquaman about two weeks ago. I taped it when it was on HBO. It has Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman in it.

In this movie, a man named Tom saves a woman laying on the beach. She is actually a queen of the sea. They fall in love and have a son. But her husband comes to find her and she leaves to protect her son and Tom. The son becomes a hybrid and he can protest to have a seat of the sea throne. His half brother wants the throne and wants to kill the humans. Arthur fights his half brother and goes on a journey to find the lost trident. He ends up finding his mother who is still alive. He does win the throne.

I loved this movie.

Carriers

I watched Carriers yesterday. It has Lou Taylor Pucci, Chris Pine, Piper Perabo, Emily VanCamp, Christopher Meloni, and Kiernan Shipka in it.

In this movie two brothers and their girlfriends are on a mission to go to the beach to wait out a pandemic. On their way, they encounter a man and his daughter. The daughter has the virus. They end up helping the man and his daughter. They go a makeshift hospital at a school, but they found out the doctor doesn’t have a serum. The brothers decide to leave the father and daughter there. Then one of the girls has the virus because she helped the little girl from dying. One brother gets the virus too. The other brother kills him. He does make it to the beach with the other girl.

I didn’t really like this movie. Next week I’m watching either Yentl or House of Versace. I’m posting next week about John Wick Chapter 3 and Tomb Raider (remake).
