The Good Student

I watched The Good Student. It also goes by the title: Mr. Gibb. I watched it on Tubi. It has Tim Daly, Hayden Panettiere, William Sadler, Dan Hedaya, Sarah Steele, and Maureen Mueller in it.

Big Warning: the ending doesn’t exactly make sense. I will explain below.

In this movie, a nerdy history teacher named Ronald Gibb has a crush on a student. The student is named Ally Palmer. Her father is a used car salesman. He really is sleazy. It comes out that Mr. Palmer was sleeping with another student named Amber and Amber’s mother. Ally goes missing after Mr. Gibb takes her home one day. Ally got in a fight with her boyfriend. Of course Mr. Gibb is a suspect in the disappearance. But he denies taking her. He also gets in a fight with Mr. Palmer. Later Ally gets released by her kidnapper, but the kidnapper takes piece of her hair. It is revealed who is the kidnapper.

Ok the ending didn’t make sense because how would he be able to change clothes so fast and he didn’t get food from the bar that one time. I do understand that he was wanting to be a hero for once like he says at the end, but that doesn’t make sense. Plus why have a meeting with the kidnapper, if he was the kidnapper,

Anyway, I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching Soul.

Student Bodies (1981)

I watched Student Bodies. This one is a comedy horror. I watched it on Pluto TV. It has Kristen Riter, Jerry Belson, Joe Flood, Matthew Goldsby, Joe Talarowski, Cullen G. Chambers in it.

Big Warning: there are some annoying parts, but it’s really funny.

Back in 1980, there were 26 horror movie made. This movie is spoof of all of them. It starts showing a house with all the horror dates, but the first killing happens on Jamie Lee Curtis’ birthday. lol The killer is known as the breather. Throughout this movie you hear him breathing heavily and sometimes talking. This movie also makes fun of movie ratings so this movie would have a R rating. There are 13 1/2 bodies in this movie. It was sorta a surprise who the killer was.

Even though it was annoying at times, I loved this movie. It was very funny. Next week I’m watching The Good Student.

Student Bodies

I watched Student Bodies. It also goes by Beginner’s Guide to Sex. I watched it on Tubi. It has Whitney Moore, Tom Arnold, Laura Cayouette, Simon Rex, Lucius Baston, Jackie Moore, and Cheyanne Cope in it.

Big Warning: there are alot of sexual terms in this movie.

In this movie, a woman named Laci Cox goes back to her high school to get a job as sex education teacher. She gets the job because the principal knew her when she was in high school. Laci is a little strange though. She acts like she is still a teenager or younger. Laci isn’t really qualified to teach anything especially sex ed because she is still a virgin. She tries anyway. The kids tease her in her class. She does connect with one girl who is a harp musician. That girl tells her that she is having problems with her boyfriend. Laci gets better at teaching her class and the students even stand up to the principal when he tries to fire her later on. At the end Laci loses her virginity to her boyfriend.

This was one of those silly teenage movies. I kinda liked it. Next week I’m watching Student Bodies. It’s another movie with the same name.

The Month of April

Happy April!!

April 1st was April’s Fools Day. No Joking around here. I did giving the cats dry treats and Henry, the fish, a treat.

April 9th is Easter. I will be giving the cats treats and Henry a treat.

Later in April is my best-friend’s birthday. Again the cats will get treats and Henry will get a treat. The day before her birthday would have been my mother’s best friend’s birthday. We found out her best-friend had died two years ago. It was shocking to hear. We had talked about her a few days before finding out she had died. Anyway, the cats and the fish will get treats that day too.

There are some new shows coming on, but I don’t know if I will see them because I am trying to catch up with other shows.

Gerda

I watched Gerda, but my Roku tv has the movie listed as The Student. I watched it on Tubi. It has Anastasiya Krasovskaya, Darius Gumauskas, Yuriy Borisov,
Yuliya Marchenko, Mariya Leonova, and Mariya Ivanova in it.

Big Warning: this is a weird movie, but a good one.

In this movie, a woman named Lera is a sociology student. She has an assignment of going around asking crazy questionnaire questions. She meets some rude people, some people who are alcoholics, and some that are hoarders. She sometimes fills out the questionnaire herself instead staying for a long while with the people. She evens meets a lonely little girl which is sad. At night Lera is a stripper. Her stripper name is Gerda. (Gerda is from the fairy tale The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen. I did read a translation of the story.) Lera also has a mother who is mentally ill. She believes in miracles and she sleepwalks. Lera begins to dream about a forest. These dreams end up in the real world and at the end she has wings. Also at the end she is not careful with her mother like she was before.

Even this was a crazy movie, I liked it. Next week I’m watching Student Bodies.
