The Legend of Hercules

I watched Legend of Hercules. It has Kellan Lutz, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee, and Kenneth Cranham in it.

Big Warning: there is lots of violence.

This movie is the story of how Hercules was born and about his first love. Hercules is the son of Zeus. His “step-father” wanted him dead because he thinks his wife had affair with someone. (she did sorta.) Hercules fakes his death and is bought into a fight club. He later accepts that he is the son of Zeus and he kills his half-brother and his “step-father.” (No, this movie doesn’t have the twelve trails has to do. I think that comes later on.)

I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching Hercules

Monty Python’s Life of Brian

I watched Monty Python’s Life of Brian. It was on Netflix. It has Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Kenneth Colley, and Charles McKeown in it.

Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence.

In this movie, a man named Brian had been born in stable beside the stable where Jesus was born. He ends up been mistaken for Jesus.

I liked the movie. It was funny. Next week I’m watching The Legend of Hercules

Tess on the Road

I finished read Tess on the Road by Rachel Hartman. She has written other books about Tess’ half sister which I do want to read.

Big Warning: there is some sad parts.

In this book, a girl named Tess goes on a road journey. Lol She was supposed to be first to get married since she is the oldest twin. But she “disgraces” her family so her twin sister gets married instead. Tess is very outspoken and is unlike other girls. Her parents decide that she would be better in convent. But she runs away. On the way, she finds a childhood friend that she lost touch with for a few years. This childhood friend is a small dragon. They are on a mission to find the World Serpents that the small dragon told her about. Also on her journey she decides it is best for her to dress a man. She finds work easily and builds up muscle which helps her free a woman from a terrible priest. She also falls in love with a disabled man. Her twin sister wants her home, but she decides to set sail to find the World Serpents instead.

I loved this book. Back to my journey in Narnia, Prince Caspian is next.

Season of the Witch

I know I was supposed to watch Monty Python’s Life of Brian, but I couldn’t watch it unfortunately. So instead I watched Season of the Witch. I had taped it when it was on HBO. But I watched it on Tubi. It has Nicolas Cage (love him), Ron Perlman (love him), Claire Foy, Robert Sheehan, Christopher Lee, and Kevin Killebrew.

Warning: The title is a deceiving. There is lots of violence and sad parts at the end.

In this movie the Crusades are happening. In one battle, two of knights realize they are killing women and children in the name of “God.” They decide to quit. (I don’t blame of them.) On their journey, they go to a town and they are thrown in jail for not obey the Church. They were asked to take a girl who is accused of being a witch to a monastery so she can be tried as a witch. They end up doing that and discover that they should haven’t took her there.

I sorta liked this movie. Next week I will watch Monty Pythion’s Life of Brian.

The Horse and His Boy

I finished reading The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis. It is the third (according to some it is the fifth book) book of the Narnia book series.

Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence.

In this book, a boy named Shasta learns is to be sold off to another man. He would be treated badly as slave so he decides to run away. He steals a horse which is actually a talking horse from Narnia. The horse trains the boy how to ride a horse properly and set to go to Narnia. On the way, they meet a girl who is running away too. She also has a talking horse from Narnia. She was running away because she was been forced to marry an older man. So the four head to Narnia. On the way, they get separated. Shasta mistaken to be a prince. The real prince looks like him. Shasta escapes and meets up with the girl and the two horses. The girl finds out a plot to kill everyone in Narnia. So they decided to stop the plot from happening. And they do. Shasta learns he and the prince he met is actually his twin brother. The horses do make it to Narnia.

I loved this book. I’m taking a little intermission to read Tess on the Road by Rachel Hartman. It is YA fantasy book. I will be reading Prince Caspian after it.

The month of October

Happy October!!

I can’t believe it’s October already.

Oct. 21 The Blacklist comes back on!! I can’t wait to find out if Liz is ok and what Red told her. And if Red is actually her mother.

Oct. 25 The 4400 is being rebooted. I’m sure if I am going to watch it. I vaguely remember the show.

Oct. 31 Halloween. The cats will get treats to celebrate.

Bohemian Rhapsody

I watched Bohemian Rhapsody. I had taped it when it was on HBO. It has
Rami Malek (love him), Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello,
Aidan Gillen (love him), Allen Leech, Tom Hollander, Mike Myers (love him),
Aaron McCusker in it.

Note: I love the song Bohemian Rhapsody and I became a fan of Queen because the song. I think Rami was a perfect pick to play Freddie and he did a great job. It is sad that Freddie is dead. He was a great storyteller, singer, and songwriter.

This movie is about how the band Queen started and how they became an epic band.

I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching Monty Python’s The Life of Brian.
