Jigsaw

I watched Jigsaw yesterday. I taped it when it was on Syfy. It has Matt Passmore, Tobin Bell, Callum Keith Rennie, Hannah Emily Anderson, Clé Bennett, Laura Vandervoort, Paul Braunstein, Mandela Van Peebles, and Brittany Allen in it.

Note: This movies comes after Saw: The Final Chapter. But in chronologoical order, parts of the movie comes after Saw III. I now want to watch Saw III and Saw The Final Chapter again. I am Saw fan. I don’t like the violence, but I do like the plot.

Warning: there is some violence.

In this movie, Some bodies are discovered around the city. It seems like Jigsaw (John Kramer) is still alive even though he has been dead for 10 years. The first part of the movie you see five test subjects. There is one survivor which is revealed at the end of the movie. It is also revealed that the first five test subjects are from 10 years ago. Detective Halloran and Detective Hunt investigate the bodies. Not only the evidence points to Jigsaw, but it points to Detective Halloran too. But the real copycat is revealed at the end.

I’m going to try to find Saw 3 and Saw Final Chapter later. There will be a new Saw movie coming out. It’s called Spiral. Next week I’m watching The Hundred Foot Journey.

Van Helsing (movie)

I watched Van Helsing yesterday. I taped it when it was on Cinemax. It has Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale, Richard Roxburgh, David Wenham, Will Kemp, Samuel West, Shuler Hensley, Josie Maran, Robbie Coltrane, and Alun Armstrong in it.

Big Warning: there is some violence and one very sad scene

In this movie, Dracula is partnered with Dr. Frankenstein to do something evil which is revealed later on. The villagers want to kill Dr. Frankenstein’s monster. Dr. Frankenstein is killed by Dracula. Meanwhile, Anna Valerious and her brother try to kill a werewolf, but the werewolf and Anna’s brother fall off a cliff. Meanwhile, Van Helsing is fighting Mr. Hyde and kills him. The church orders Van Helsing to go to Transylvania. He does to help Anna fight Dracula. It then revealed that Anna’s brother is a werewolf and Dracula is using him to give life to his “children.” Anna’s brother bites Van Helsing which turns him into a werewolf. He kills Dracula and his first love.

I didn’t like the sad ending, but I did like the movie. Next week I’m watching Jigsaw.

Practical Magic

I watched Practical Magic yesterday. I taped it when it was on HBO. It is based on a book by Alice Hoffman. (No, I haven’t read the book, but I do plan on getting it once I finishing read all the other books I need to read.) It has Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Goran Visnjic, Aidan Quinn, Evan Rachel Wood, and Alexandra Artrip in it.

Big Warning: it has little bit of violence.

In this movie, two sisters go live with their aunts. The aunts tell the girls that there is a curse over their family. If they fall in love, their love will die. Sally decides to do a spell of the perfect guy for her. One who supposedly didn’t exist, but actually does. Sally does fall in love and has two daughters. But her husband dies. Her sister Gillian moves and falls in love with many guys. One guy falls for, but he tries to kill her. Sally rescues her sister and accidently kills the guy. A cop comes to question them about the guy who is missing. The guy was a serial killer. Then Gillian gets possessed with the guy’s ghost. Sally gets help with some of the town people and Gillian is freed from the ghost. Sally and the cop fall in love.

I liked the movie. Next week I’m watching Van Helsing.

The Illusionist

I watched The Illusionist yesterday. It has Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, Jessica Biel, Rufus Sewell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Eleanor Tomlinson in it.

Big Warning: there is a big twist at the end. This was an awesome movie.

In this movie, a boy who was cabinet maker supposedly met a magician. He teaches himself magic. He shows his tricks to some kids. A girl instantly likes him, but they can’t be seen together because she is a duchess. So he leaves. When he is an adult, he puts on magic shows around the world. He decides to come home and the duchess comes to one his shows. She is engaged to a prince. The prince ends up being accused of killing her and the magician escapes.

I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching Practical Magic.

The Month of October

Happy October!!

I can’t believe it’s already October. Tonight a new show called Next is coming on. I have been wanting to see it.

October 8th The Outpost and Supernatural are coming back on!! I can’t wait.

Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 Lily will be getting treats. I won’t be letting her out those days since she’s a black cat.

The Third Secret

I finished listening to The Third Secret by Steve Berry. It is not part of the Cotton Malone book series, but one of his stand alone books.

Warning: there is some violence and a suicide.

In this book, a man named Colin Michener is told by the pope to look into the Mary visionaries. Colin does because he is the pope’s secretary. But he can’t understand why. Later he finds out that it has to do with the third secret of Fatima. The pope finds out there was more to the third secret that was said in public. A bishop had stole part of the third secret. But the translator of the third secret sent a copy of it to the pope. The pope sends Colin to find out about another secret, but then the pope dies suddenly. Colin goes to find out that other secret and finds the third secret to compare them. Once he knows the secret, the church and his life is changed forever.

I loved this book. Now I’m reading Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. Yes, it is the “new” Twilight book.
