Deadpool 2

I watched Deadpool 2 last week. I taped it when it was on Cinemax. It has Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni, and Julian Dennison in it.

Warning: there is a lot of violence and there is a sad part.

In this movie, Wade gets back with Vanessa. They try to plan their life together. Then suddenly some bad guys try to kill Wade only to kill Vanessa by accident. Wade tries to kill himself, but he ends up living every time. He sees Vanessa in a vision who tells him to change his ways. So he does and joins Xmen, but he helps a boy instead. He gets locked up in prison with the boy. A man suddenly appears. (I thought he was there at the prison to save Deadpool, but I was wrong.) This man’s mission is to kill the boy. Deadpool doesn’t want that to happen. Instead he finally dies in order to save the boy. But Cable goes back in time to save Deadpool and the boy. Then Deadpool takes Cable’s device to go back in time to save Vanessa and change other mistakes he made.

I loved this movie. Next week I will post on Aquaman and Glass.

Deadpool

I watched Deadpool about week ago. I taped it when it was on FXX. It has Ryan Reynolds, Randal Reeder, Morena Baccarin, Michael Benyaer, Ed Skrein, and Leslie Uggams in it.

Warning; there is a lot of violence.

In this movie, Wade meets a girl named Vanessa. He falls in love with her and then he finds out he has cancer. He wants to get treatment so he can be with Vanessa a lot longer. Someone overhears him and kidnaps him to tell him about a secret program that would get rid of his cancer for good. He decides to do the program. The program also makes people into superheroes. But the program make him have burns on his body and makes him unable to die. He also finds out the program won’t allow him to leave and he has o be a slave to them. So he escapes. Instead of hiding, he goes after the people of that secret program to see if he can be changed. He learns at the end that he can’t be changed.

I loved this movie.

Chronicle Mysteries: Helped to Death

I watched Chronicle Mysteries: Helped to Death yesterday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. It has Alison Sweeney, Benjamin Ayres, Richard Keats, Rebecca Staab, Alison Wandzura, Lochlyn Munro, and Ian Collins in it.

Warning: there is a little bit of violence.

In this movie, Zack is the new secretary at the newspaper. He tells Alex that he needs to start work on Monday because of a wellness retreat he plans on going during the weekend. Alex agrees. She decides to research about the wellness retreat because the man who is running it sounded familiar. She decides to go on the retreat and Drew goes as backup. One of the people at the retreat is killed. Alex, Zack, and Drew try to find out who the killer is. They do catch the killer.

I liked this movie. Next week I’m watching Carriers.

Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent

I watched Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent yesterday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. It has Lacey Chabert, Barbara Niven, Lochlyn Munro, Debs Howard, Brennan Elliott, Bradley Stryker, Leana Yu, and Matthew James Dowden in it.

Warning; there is a little bit of violence.

In this movie, Tess is asked to do a crossword challenge against an AI computer. But she doesn’t get to do the challenge because the CEO of the company is killed. She teams up with Logan to catch the killer which they do.

I liked this movie. I have been watching some of the movies I have taped before I move. So I will post about Deadpool and Deadpool 2 next week. Next week I’m watching Chronicle Mysteries: Helped to Death.

The month of March

Happy March!!

I will be moving into my uncle’s house sometime this month. Lily, my cat, is there at his house getting used to his cats. My mother is really pushing me to move soon, but my uncle had a lot of stuff that needs to go before I move in.

March 10th Ovation is supposed to have the second season of Riviera.

March 11th A Million Little Things comes back on.

March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. Lily will be getting a treat to celebrate.

Sometime this month Lily will be going to the vet and hopefully Chris, my boyfriend, will be visiting.

Mrs. McGinty’s Dead

I finished reading Mrs. McGinty’s Dead by Agatha Christie. There was a movie loosely based on the book called Murder Most Foul. I had seen the movie a long time ago and I watched it again recently.

Big Warning: there is some violence.

In this book, Hercule Poirot is asked by a sergeant to look into a case that he feels brought the wrong man to justice. The “wrong man” was already tried and sentenced, but the sergeant was convinced that James didn’t kill his landlady. So Poirot interviews James and is also convinced that he didn’t do it. So Poirot goes into the town where the crime occurred and looks for clues that were missed. He finds two important clues that the police missed. An ink bottle and a newspaper clipping. The newspaper clipping had photos which lead to another killing to happen.  Poirot ends up finding out who the real killer is.

Differences between the movie and book:

  1. The movie has Miss Marple instead of Poirot
  2. In the movie, Miss Marple finds a clue of a theatre and she becomes a member of the play to find the killer.  Poirot does find a clue about a theatre, but it wasn’t the focus of the book.
  3. One of the players of the theatre gets killed in the movie. In the book, the second murder was a playwright’s mother.
  4. In the book, the niece doesn’t get the house. In the movie it was the sister that gets the house.

I did like the book and the movie. Now I’m reading Dead Pets Don’t Lie by Joe Ardis and Donna Lee Howell. It’s a non-fiction book about pet food.
