A Wind in the Door

I finished listening to A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L’Engle. It is the second book in the Time Quintet book series (A Wrinkle in Time book series). I decided to go back and listen to the second book before finishing out the book series.

Warning: there is a little bit of violence.

In this book, Meg’s brother Charles Wallace gets very sick. He says there are dragons in the garden and he is losing his breath when he and Meg do to the garden. Meg does meet the dragons. The dragons are actually cherub. She also meets the principal in the garden, but it was the principal. It was a evil creature that looked and acted like the principal. Later on Meg has to pick out the real principal in the series of three tests. Meg also meets a teacher who tells her that she, the principal, Calvin, and the cherub will help Charles Wallace to get better.  They do go inside Charles Wallace to make one of his cells evolve. In the end, Charles Wallace does get better and the principal sees things differently.

I love this book. I’m listening to next An Acceptable Time by Madeleine L’Engle. It is last book of the Time Quintet book series (A Wrinkle in Time book series). She wrote a book series of Meg’s daughter which I do plan on reading.
