A few weeks ago, a Sunday School teacher had talked about this movie in class. I have seen it many times, but I couldn’t remember much of the movie. So after church, I looked up to see when the movie will be on tv again. I decided to tape it. This Sunday it snowed and the satellite dish went out so I decided to watch it. The movie is based on a short story by Stephen King. I never read the story. It has Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Bob Gunton, William Sadler, and James Whitmore in it.
Warning: there are some violence and one sad part.
The Shawshank Redemption is about a man named Andy who goes to prison. He actually an innocent man. He was accused of murdering his wife and her lover. In prison, he becomes friends with another inmate named Red. Andy ends up helping prison guards with their taxes and helps the warden with illegal stuff. The warden kills a man who might be able to Andy free. So Andy escapes prison and takes the warden’s money.
I love this movie. I’m glad that I watched it again.
