Frozen 2

My mother , my uncle and I went to see Frozen 2 a few weeks ago. We had seen the first movie when it was out so I wanted us to see the second one. It has Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Evan Rachel Wood, Alfred Molina, Rachel Matthews, Hadley Gannaway, Mattea Conforti in it.

In this movie, Elsa keeps hearing a voice calling her. Their father had told them about an enchanted forest when they were little. So Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf go find the enchanted forest and find out more about Elsa’s powers. Elsa and Anna help free some people trapped in the enchanted forest and Elsa finally accepts who she is.

I loved this movie. My mother liked the movie too. She actually stayed awake during the movie.

Mary Poppins Returns

Chris and I went to see Mary Poppins Returns. This is a sequel to the original movie. We had seen the original one. Both movies are based on book by P.L. Travers. It has Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Joel Dawson, Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke, and Angela Lansbury in it.

In this movie, Mary Poppins comes back to save Michael Banks from losing the family home. She also looks after Michael’s kids. They have some adventures and Michael rediscovers that everything that happened when he was a kid really did happen.

I loved this movie. Chris loved this movie too. It was almost as good as the original. I haven’t read the books yet. I decided to put the audiobook on hold.

The Secret World of Arrietty

I watched The Secret World of Arrietty yesterday. I had taped it when Starz was a free preview. It is an animated movie. It has Bridgit Mendler, Moises Arias, David Henrie, Will Arnett, Carol Burnett, Amy Poehler, Saoirse Ronan, and Tom Holland in it.

In this movie, a boy named Shawn/Sho has to live with his aunt so he can have peace and quiet before his surgery. But he discovers a little girl in the bushes outside. Her name is Arrietty. She is a Borrower. He tries to become friends with her, but as a rule, if any of the Borrowers is discovered they have to leave.

I did like the movie. It is based on a book series that I might read someday. Next week I’m watching Shorts. It’s a movie about a rock.

TomorrowLand

I watched TomorrowLand yesterday. Chris had bought it for me a few years ago and I hadn’t watched it until now. It has George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Hugh Laurie, Thomas Robinson, and Pierce Gagnon in it.

Warning: there is a little bit of violence.

In this movie, a boy named Frank tries to enter a jetpack in the World’s Fair. He is rejected, but a girl tells him to follow her. He goes to TomorrowLand. Many years later a teenage girl named Casey gets arrested for getting into NASA’s base. After she is released on bail, she finds a pin with her stuff that takes her to TomorrowLand. But the trip doesn’t last long. The girl who showed Frank TomorrowLand tells Casey that they need to get back to TomorrowLand with the help of Frank. They end up solving the problem that TomorrowLand has, and recruit more people.

This was an awesome movie. I loved it. Next week I’m watching The Secret World of Arriety.

Descendants 2

I’m so glad Irma is gone. She did “hit” here. I didn’t lose power last night.But the winds were sorta bad and the rain was bad. I didn’t have any damage either.

Anyway, I did watch Descendants 2 on Saturday. It is a Disney musical. I had seen the first one with Chris when I went to visit him one Christmas. It has Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson, Mitchell Hope, Booboo Stewart, Brenna D’Amico, and China Anne McClain.

The Descendants is about the storybook characters’ children. In the first, one Mal (Maleficent’s daughter) falls in love with prince Ben (Belle and King Adam’s son). Ben becomes king. In this sequel, Mal tries to fit in with the rest of Auradon. She uses some spells to fit in, but Ben finds out and Mal freaks out. She goes back to the Isle of the Lost. Ben goes after her with the other Isle kids. But Urma (Ursula’s daughter) is jealous of Mal and wants to get revenge. In the end, Ben pleas with Urma that he will let her come to Auradon. At the very end, it hints there will be another Descendants movie.

I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching Sing.

Moana

I watched Moana a few days early since the Eclipse happened yesterday. I had been wanting to see it. It was really good. I liked the music too. I laughed and cried. It also has a great message. Moana is about a girl named Moana.

Moana is about a girl named Moana. lol She was called by the ocean. Her grandmother told stories of a demi-god who stolen the heart of Te Fiti. The stone is the creation of life. Since he stole the heart, there is a curse of all lands which reaches Moana’s Island. Moana’s grandmother tells her that she must convince the demigod to return the heart. Moana ends up doing that, but Maui (the demigod) get discouraged and Moana decides to return the heart herself. When she does, everything is right again.

I loved this movie. Next I’m watching Trolls.

Decendants

Sometime before Christmas I had written a review type article on Textbroker about the first doll pictured above. It is the Darling Charming Ever After High Doll from Mattel. The second doll pictured above is from Descendants doll collection by Disney.
At Christmas I told Chris I wanted to see the Disney movie Descendants because I had written about doll from that Disney line. Of course I later realized I was wrong. But we saw the movie anyway. The movie was really good and some of music was really good.

Descendants (like Ever After High) is about storybook characters’ children. Mal is the daughter of Maleficent.She is send to a boarding school where all the good storybook characters’ children go. Maleficent tries to get her to get the good witch’s wand so all the villains can be free off an island. Mal just wants to be good. The villains go free, but Mal tricks her mother.    Descendants is now a cartoon tv show on the Disney channel. Ever After High which is Mattel’s version is also a cartoon show on the dolls website.

Inside Out

I had heard from my facebook friends that the Disney movie Inside Out was a great movie. Just about all my facebook friends has kids. I don’t have kids, but I do like Disney movies. So at Christmas, I decided to watch Inside Out with Chris.  It was a great movie. It has some great actors that do the voices.

Inside Out is an animated movie about a teenager who gets her emotions messed up.The emotions are tiny people inside her head. The reason the emotions get messed up is because the sad emotion felt left out in most things. When everything gets back to normal, the emotions try to include the sad emotion in more things now.
