Unlocking Christmas

I watched Unlocking Christmas yesterday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. It has Taylor Cole, Steve Lund, Elena Juatco, Darryl Hinds, Ron Lea, Kathryn Greenwood, and Roger Dunn in it.

In this movie, a woman named Kate is a doctor who moves in a town to do a orthopedic fellowship. She accidently meets a guy named Kevin in a coffee shop and then at the clinic she works at. Kevin is a vet who has returned home. After they met, they both receive two mysterious keys and a riddle. The riddle leads them to a mailbox and more riddles. They end up working together to solve the riddles and spread joy to others. Yes, they fall in love. They both have job offers that end up turning down so they can be together.

I loved this movie. This is the last Christmas movie. Next week I’m watching Perry Mason: The Case of the Sinister Spirit.

USS Christmas

I watched USS Christmas yesterday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. It has Jen Lilley, Trevor Donovan, Barbara Niven, Brett Rice, Stefanie Butler, Hardy Rawls, and Ginny MacColl in it.

In this movie, a journalist named Maddie gets invited to a cruise on a navy ship. Her sister is a navy pilot. Her dad was a navy pilot too. She ends up asking her boss to go and she goes on the cruise. While there she gets an idea for a Christmas story for the newspaper. She wants to write about a couple finding love on the ship during the Christmas cruise. The captain enlists his sin to help her quest to find a love story to write about. Maddie finds a journal and hunts down the couple with the captain’s son’s help. Of course Maddie and Billy fall in love while finding the couple.

I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching Unlocking Christmas.

The Polar Express

I watched The Polar Express yesterday. I taped it when it was on AMC. It has Tom Hanks (love him), Leslie Zemeckis, Eddie Deezen, Nona Gaye, and Peter Scolari in it.

In this movie, a boy who has lost the faith of the magic of Santa wakes up to hear a train whistle. The conductor asks if he wants to ride to the North Pole. He says no at first and then jumps on at last minute. He discovers there are other kids on the train too. Then the train makes it last stop to a little boy’s house named Billy. He also tries to jump on the train at last moment, but misses. The hero boy stops the train to let Billy on. The hero girl gives Billy some hot chocolate and her ticket goes missing. Hero Boy tries his best to give her ticket back to her. He meets a hobo which is a ghost who tells him to believe again in the magic of Santa. Later they do make it to the North Pole. The heroes try to get Billy off the train so he can meet Santa too. The hero Boy does meet Santa and tells him what he wants for Christmas. They return home and the hero boy finds his present which is a bell.

I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching USS Christmas.

The Angel Tree

I watched The Angel Tree last Monday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Moves and Mysteries. It has Jill Wagner, Lucas Bryant, Cassidy Nugent, Oscar Farrell, Annabel Kershaw, Jason Burkart, Tom Pickett, and Candus Churchill in it.

In this movie, a woman named Rebecca is a journalist. She had written about her hometown and a tree that is a tradition in her hometown where people would write down Christmas wishes and their wishes are granted. She had written about her childhood friend’s wish had been granted. But she herself had lost faith in the magic of the tree because her wish wasn’t granted. Her boss assigns her the job to go back to her hometown and find out who grants the wishes and she will get her own column. So she goes with her daughter. They stay with her aunt. She reconnects with the childhood friend who owns the diner now. Yes, she does fall in love with him. She does find who does the granting of wishes.

I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching USS Christmas.

The Christmas Bow

I watched The Christmas Bow yesterday. I taped it when it was on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. It has Lucia Micarelli, Michael Rady, James Saito, Kenneth Cummins, Joy Perry, Anne Sward, Jyl Kaneshiro, and Nate Bynum in it.

In this movie, a woman named Kate is violinist. She has an accident which causes her to not play for awhile. (when I read that in the summary I thought car accident. But I was wrong. She mashes her fingers in a door which sounds really painful.) She goes to the doctor who says it will be six weeks before she can play again. He also recommends a physical therapist. The physical therapist is a childhood friend. They later fall in love and she gets to play again. Her grandfather starts teaching again and they have a Christmas party again where Kate plays again.

I loved this movie. I think this movie is my favorite Christmas movie so far. Next week I’m watching The Angel Tree. Yes, another Christmas movie.

A Crafty Christmas Romance

I watched A Crafty Christmas Romance yesterday. I taped it when it was on Lifetime. It has Nicola Posener, Brad Johnson, Renny Grames, Paul D. Hunt, Rachel Olvera, and Anne Sward in it.

In this movie, a woman named Mandy owns a craft store. She had been helping the county collecting toys and gifts for a toy and gift fund. She finds abox filled with used toys and books. One of the books has a letter to Santa written by a girl named Judith. The letter was dated 70 years earlier. In the envelop was a coin too. She decides to find the owner of the letter and coin. She finds out a renovator named Jonah had set out the box at her store. He decides to help her find the owner of the letter and coin. They do find the owner and they give back the book, letter and coin. Jonah and Mandy fall in love and kiss the first time.

I did like this movie, but I do agree with some people on IMDB that there was no spark between Mandy and Jonah. (Saturday I’m watching The Stand (the 1994 miniseries). Yes, I’m listening to the book this weekend too.) Next week I’m watching The Christmas Bow.

Poinsettias For Christmas

I watched yesterday Poinsettias for Christmas. I taped it when it was on Lifetime. It has Bethany Joy Lenz, River Angeli, Rhonda Dent, Sharon Lawrence, Lauren London, Marcus Rosner, John Schneider, and Amélie Will Wolf in it.

In this movie, a woman named Ellie gets a call from her mother asking her to come back home to help her father on the family poinsettia farm. Her mother says her father hurt his back, but that wasn’t true. The poinsettias weren’t turning red like they are supposed to. They had a huge order to fill and the plants need to be red. Ellie tries to help, but runs out of ideas until she realizes that the city lights were affecting the plants. So they cover the plants and they turn red in time. She also falls in love with the guy who had been helping out at the poinsettia farm. She also realizes she misses home so she quits her job and moves back home.

I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching A Crafty Christmas Romance.
