Note: Last week I had said I was going to watch A Thousand Words. Well, I found out that Pluto TV has the Spanish version of that movie. The Roku tv had the subtitles in Spanish too. I will be watching that movie next week. So I decided to watch The Raven (1943). Well, this movie is in French. The Roku tv didn’t have subtitles. I do know a little of French, but not alot. I watch it anyway and I read the wikipedia page to find out what happened. I did find a site that has subtitles a few minutes ago.
I watched The Raven on TV Time. It has Pierre Fresnay, Ginette Leclerc, Micheline Francey, Héléna Manson, Pierre Larquey, and Sylvie.
Big Warning: there is some violence.
On IMDB, it says that the screenplay was based on a true story. In this movie, a doctor and others receive mysterious letters. The letters are signed with the name The Raven/Crow. The letters accuse of Doctor Germain of having an affair and of being abortionist. One of the letters caused a man to commit suicide. Several people were suspects, but in the end it is shown who the real letter writer was.
I liked this movie. Next week I will watch A Thousand Words on the computer.
