I watched Crimson Peak a few weeks ago. My mother wanted me to see it. It is on Netflix. It has Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Jim Beaver, and Doug Jones in it.
Big Warning: there is some violence.
In this movie, a woman named Edith is a writer in the 18th Century. She is writing a love story with ghosts in it. But she herself is a medium. She is haunted by her mother’s ghost who keeps warning about a place called Crimson Peak. She meets a man named Thomas and falls in love with him. Her father doesn’t approve it and he finds out that Thomas was already married. Then Edith’s father was murdered. So she marries Thomas and moves into a broken down house with him and his “sister.” It turns out that the broken down house is haunted and Edith gets suddenly sick. She learns alot about Thomas and his “sister” and learns the broken down house was named Crimson Peak. In the end, she does get away from the house and the “sister.”
I did like this movie.
