I finished reading Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. There is a show on Netflix that is based on the book. Yes, I watched it.
Warning: there is some violence and a big twist at the end of both the show and book.
In this book, a woman named Louise meets a man named David at a bar. Louise was supposed to have met her friend at the bar, but her friend didn’t show and she knocks into David. They talk and laugh. When they start to leave, he kisses Louise. The next day Louise goes into work and sees the man from the bar and his wife. David is her new boss. They end up having an affair. Louise has terrible night terrors and she sleepwalks. Louise takes her son to school the next day and knocks into David’s wife Adele. Adele and Louise end up become friends. They go to the gym together and Adele gives Louise a e-cigarette. Louise doesn’t tell David about the friendship. Later the lies catch up with Adele and Louise and things gets ugly.
There were some differences between the two, but I’m going to tell what they are because it would spoil the twist. I loved the book and the show. Now I’m going to read The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien.
