I watched The Polar Express yesterday. I taped it when it was on AMC. It has Tom Hanks (love him), Leslie Zemeckis, Eddie Deezen, Nona Gaye, and Peter Scolari in it.
In this movie, a boy who has lost the faith of the magic of Santa wakes up to hear a train whistle. The conductor asks if he wants to ride to the North Pole. He says no at first and then jumps on at last minute. He discovers there are other kids on the train too. Then the train makes it last stop to a little boy’s house named Billy. He also tries to jump on the train at last moment, but misses. The hero boy stops the train to let Billy on. The hero girl gives Billy some hot chocolate and her ticket goes missing. Hero Boy tries his best to give her ticket back to her. He meets a hobo which is a ghost who tells him to believe again in the magic of Santa. Later they do make it to the North Pole. The heroes try to get Billy off the train so he can meet Santa too. The hero Boy does meet Santa and tells him what he wants for Christmas. They return home and the hero boy finds his present which is a bell.
I did like this movie. Next week I’m watching USS Christmas.
