I watched Practical Magic yesterday. I taped it when it was on HBO. It is based on a book by Alice Hoffman. (No, I haven’t read the book, but I do plan on getting it once I finishing read all the other books I need to read.) It has Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Goran Visnjic, Aidan Quinn, Evan Rachel Wood, and Alexandra Artrip in it.
Big Warning: it has little bit of violence.
In this movie, two sisters go live with their aunts. The aunts tell the girls that there is a curse over their family. If they fall in love, their love will die. Sally decides to do a spell of the perfect guy for her. One who supposedly didn’t exist, but actually does. Sally does fall in love and has two daughters. But her husband dies. Her sister Gillian moves and falls in love with many guys. One guy falls for, but he tries to kill her. Sally rescues her sister and accidently kills the guy. A cop comes to question them about the guy who is missing. The guy was a serial killer. Then Gillian gets possessed with the guy’s ghost. Sally gets help with some of the town people and Gillian is freed from the ghost. Sally and the cop fall in love.
I liked the movie. Next week I’m watching Van Helsing.
