Chris and I did go see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker after Christmas. It has Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Joonas Suotamo, and Ian McDiarmid in it.
Big Warning: there is lots of violence and one very sad part which is so wrong.
In this movie, Rey is still trying channel the Jedi’s powers. She also is still connected to Kylo Ren/Ben. Kylo Ren learns who Rey’s parents are. He later tells her and she is shocked. Rey does channels the Jedi’s powers and defeats the evil one. Then the very sad part which is very wrong happens.
Note: There should be a writer’s decree that if you make a character a good person, you SHOULDN’T kill them off. (gets off soapbox.)
Even though there was a sad part, I loved the movie.
