I watched Murder, She Said yesterday. It is based on an Agatha Christie book. I thought I could get the book, but I found out I can. So I will read it sometime. I taped the movie when it was on TCM. It has Margaret Rutherford, Arthur Kennedy, James Robertson Justice, Joan Hickson, Charles ‘Bud’ Tingwell, Ronnie Raymond, Stringer Davis, and Muriel Pavlow in it.
Warning: there is a little bit of violence.
In this movie, Miss Marple is on a train and sees another train passing by her window. She sees a man strangling a woman. She reports the murder to the train official, but he doesn’t believe her. He thinks she had a dream while reading a mystery book. She tries to tell a police officer when she got home, but he doesn’t believe her either. They didn’t find a body on that train, or outside the train. She goes to look for herself. She thinks the body is in mansion so she takes a maid job there. She does find the body and solves the murder.
I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching Murder at the Gallop.
