I finished listening to A Slightly Tilting Planet by Madeleine L’Engle. It is the third book of the Time Quinet book series. (I skipped the second book, but I might go back to listen to it.)
Warning: there is a little bit of violence.
In this book, Meg is older (around 24 or 25 years old) and she’s married to Calvin. She’s also pregnant. Charles Wallace is older too. He’s 15 years old. Their father gets a phone call from the president about a mad man is calling for a nuclear war. Calvin’s mother tells Charles Wallace needs to remember a rune and to save everyone. Charles Wallace thinks he can’t do on his own. He meets a unicorn (so cool. I love unicorns) who takes him back in time to find out who the mad man is (I was wrong about who he is. I was thinking it was Mrs. O’Keefe’s brother. It wasn’t). He changes the past to stop the nuclear war from happening.
I loved, loved this book. It’s an awesome book. Now I’m listening to Mary Poppins Comes Back by Pamela Lyndon Travers. It is the second book of the Mary Poppins book series.
