The Rendezvous

I watched The Rendezvous yesterday. The movie is loosely based on a book by Sarah Isaias. I haven’t read the book. I taped it when Showtime was a free preview. It has Stana Katic, Raza Jaffrey, Alfonso Bassave, Meg Cionni, Glenn Fleshler, and Brett Weer in it.

Warning: there is some violence.

In this movie, a woman named Rachel is a Jewish doctor. She learns from a Muslim State Department employee (by the description of the book he’s a poet), Jake, that her brother is dead. Her brother is like Indiana Jones. He was trying to find a scroll that tells more than the Dead Sea Scrolls (by the description of the book it’s a poem). Rachel and Jake find out who killed her brother and they take the scroll to be displayed for the world to see.

Even though there were some unbelievable parts, I did enjoy watching the movie. Tomorrow I’m going to watch Salem’s Lot. I’m almost through reading it. Next Monday I’m watching Morgan.
