Spirit Bound

I finished reading Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead. It is the fifth book of the Vampire Academy book series. There are six books in the young adult book series. There is a spin-off book series called Bloodlines, but I have decided not read those.

Warning: there is some violence.

In this book, Rose’s love is wanting to go after her. Rose got a crazy plan to break Victor, the man who tortured Lissa, out of prison. The reason is that Victor’s brother has info on how to turn bad vampires back into humans. Rose, Lissa, and Eddie do a jailbreak. They meet Victor’s brother who says that a charmed stake can bring back a bad vampire. Only a spirit user can do it though. Rose doesn’t want Lissa near a bad vampire and too Lissa can’t fight. They lose Victor and his brother in a crowd. Christian volunteers to teach Lissa to fight. Then Christian and Lissgetts kidnapped by Rose’s love. Rose and others go to rescue them. Christian helps distract the bad vampire and Lissa stakes him with the charmed stake. He is made “whole” again. But he refuses to be around Rose. Rose tries several times to get him back. Then the queen is killed and Rose is the main suspect. Her father is her lawyer.

I sorta liked this book. Now I’m reading Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. It is the last book of the Vampire Academy book series.

Duplicity

I watched Duplicity yesterday. I had taped it when Cinemax was a free preview. It has Clive Owen, Julia Roberts, (She is one of my favorite actresses. She’s so pretty.) Tom Wilkinson, Dan Daily, Paul Giamatti, Lisa Roberts Gillan, Denis O’Hare, and Kathleen Chalfant in it. I HIGHLY recommend this movie. It’s a very cute movie.

Warning: there is some sex scenes and one big twist at the end. In this movie, Two spies meet each other at a party in Dubai. They have sex and one spy (Claire) steals from the other. They meet again in Rome. This time they hitch a plan to steal from their spy companies so they can be together. The plan sorta works out.

I loved this movie. Next week I’m watching John Wick. I might be watching another movie on Sunday with my mother.

Star Wars Day!!

Happy Star Wars Day!!

I did celebrate a little by watching a little bit of the Lego Star Wars cartoon. I realized that it was a rerun so I didn’t watch all of it. I love the Lego cartoons. They are so cute.

I gave Lilly some different food today to celebrate today and tomorrow. She usually eats Fancy Feast Medleys. Today she ate some Beyond pate.

The month of May

Happy May Day!! I’m always reminded of my elementary school and they would have a May Day dance on this day.

Mother’s Day is May 13th. Instead of getting a card for my mother, I’m going to spend the day with her.

May 5th is Cinco De Mayo. I don’t celebrate that holiday. May 4th is Star Wars day.

May 28th is Memorial Day and my best friend’s son’s birthday. He will 15 years old (I think) which is unbelievable.

Shadow Kiss

I finished reading Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead. It is the third book of the Vampire Academy book series. There are six books in the young adult book series.

Warning: there is some violence and one very sad part.

In this book, Rose thought she was crazy. She had been seeing Mason everywhere. He’s dead. She doesn’t tell anyone until she has an episode of a plane. Then she tells what really happened. People think she’s crazy. She says Mason tries to talk to her, but she doesn’t know what he is saying. Then he says it. The bad vampires are coming. They somehow break in the school. Rose and Christian fight together. They kill a lot of them. But some people were kidnapped. So Rose and the others go rescue them. She had a theory about how the bad vampires got in. A group of the good vampires were having a fight club of sorts. When they used the magic, it made the wards weak. They do rescue the ones kidnapped. Rose ends up deciding to leave the school to search for her love to be able to kill him.

I sorta liked this book. I think this book was better than the second one. Now I’m reading Blood Promise by Richelle Mead. It is the fourth book of this book series.

You can get this book at Wordery.com and Kobo.com.

Bloodsucking Bastards

I watched  Bloodsucking Bastards yesterday. It’s another vampire movie. It has Fran Kranz, Pedro Pascal, Joey Kern, Joel Murray, and Emma Fitzpatrick in it.

Warning: there is lots of violence and gore.

In this movie, a man named Evan wants to be promoted to sales manger of the business he works for. He isn’t a good manager anyway because no one really works. They either play computer games or watch porn while “working.” The boss of the company decides to assign someone else as sales manager. This new guy is a vampire who turns almost everyone into vampires.

This is supposed to be a comedy, but I didn’t really find it funny. I think the acting was bad. And two I’m not a guy so maybe that’s why I didn’t think it was funny. Next week I’m watching Duplicity. It’s a spy movie.
