Flowers and other stuff

Some of my flowers have finally come up. I’m posting one of the pictures of them today. I’m going to take a picture of the other two maybe today.

Sneezy, the male cat, has become missing again. I hope he shows up soon. Lily, the female cat, has been mean to him lately. They love playing hide and seek.

Also Chris is coming down this weekend. We are going to see the new Pirates movie.

The Blacklist (season finale)

Over the weekend, I watched the season finale of The Blacklist. I love the show because it reminds me of Silence of the Lambs. To the writers, thank you, but you left more questions at the end.

Last season finale, Red’s cleaner was shot in the head and left for dead by Red himself. He was mad that she helped Liz escape. His cleaner ends surviving and is nursed back to health by a guy. This season Kaplan gets her revenge on Red by getting the FBI involved and turning his associates. In the end, Kaplan kills herself which is sad. And there is no hinting around. Yay!! Liz finally finds out that Red is her father!!

But my question is did Liz’s mother drown? I mean a few past episodes it was said she drowned. But it looks like maybe Liz maybe shot her mother by accident the night of the house fire and Red covered it up by starting the house fire.

I can’t wait for next season.

Children of Men

Yesterday I did see the movie Children of Men. I didn’t know that it is based on a novel by P.D. James. I looked to see Overdrive has the book and they don’t. It has Clive Owen, Michael Caine, Julianne Moore, Pam Ferris, and Clare-Hope Ashitey in it.

Warning: this is a very sad movie and it has lots of violence in it.

The reason I wanted to see this movie was because that same article that talked about Idiocracy being what the future with Trump in it mentioned Children of Men. The movie is set in 2027. Children of Men is about a guy named Theo. He is asked by an ex-girlfriend to get papers for a girl. He does and he finds out the girl is pregnant which is a big thing in a world where women haven’t been able to get pregnant. She does give birth to a baby girl. Theo does get her to safety.

The movie does leave you hanging. I did like the movie even though it was sad. Next week I’m doing a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon. I’m hoping to see the new Pirates movie soon.

Assassins (book)

I finished listening to Assassins by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B Jenkins.  It is the sixth book of the Left Behind book series. There are 12 books in the series.

Warning: there are some violence and two sad parts.

In Assassins, Hattie disappears again.  Her plane supposedly crashed, but Rayford and the others didn’t believe that. Rayford decided to try to find her. But David finds out it is a trap. Rayford gets the news almost not in time.  Buck asks around about the doctor staying with. He finds him in bed sick. He has the same poisoning as Hattie. He is rushed to the hospital, but he later dies. The nurse that helped Buck joins the group of believers.  She tells Rayford about a safe in her garage. They go to get the money. She sees huge horsemen. The horsemen kill the guards that try to kill her and Rayford.   Mac, another pilot, gets hit in an ambush with people who want to kill Nicolae.  Rayford also wants to kill Nicolae.  He asks for a gun. Nicolae kills the two witnesses. People dance around the bodies. Rayford takes a shot at Nicholae.

I did like the book although I didn’t like that the doctor died. Now I’m reading  The Venetian Betrayal by Steve Berry.

You can get the book at Downpour.com.

Apollyon

I finished listening to Apollyon by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B Jenkins. It is the fifth book of the Left Behind book series. There are 10 books in the series.

Warning: there is a cliffhanger ending and one sad part.

In Apollyon, Rayford learns that Amanda had been a spy for Nicolae. He wasn’t convinced that she was a spy. Hattie tells Rayford that Amanda wasn’t a spy. She had made it look like that. Hattie gets poisoned by Nicolae and ends up losing her baby. She pledges to kill Nicolae. Rayford gets fired from being a pilot for Nicolae. He becomes friends with Ken, but later Ken gets killed. Nicolae tries to kill the two witnesses, but he fails to kill them. Then Nicolae tries to plead with them to stop the darkness. The sun becomes weaker for a short while. Then the demonic locusts appear. They don’t attack Rayford and the others. They did attack Hattie though. The locusts chant Apollyon. When Hatte got better, she does something selfish and stupid. She tries to see a teenager who isn’t a believer. She puts Chloe’s life and her baby in danger. She tries to hitch a plane to New Babylon but Rayford stops her. Chloe does give birth to a boy named Kenneth Bruce Williams.

I did like the book, but I didn’t like that Ken got killed and that Hattie was being selfish. Now I’m listening to Assassins by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B Jenkins. It’s the 6th book of the series. I’m finishing it today.

You can find Apollyon at Wordery.com, Kobo.com, and Downpour.com.

The Circle

I finished reading  The Circle by Dave Eggers.  There is a movie based on the book which I am planning on watching Monday. It’s a great book, but it does have a sorta cliffhanger ending.  It’s also scary.

The Circle is about a girl named Mae. She gets a dream job at a technology company called The Circle.  The Circle has tools where you can combine all your passwords, bank accounts into one system. Mae’s best friend, Annie,  gets her the job.  She ends up loving the job which is answering customers questions. The company has a point system which she ends up getting obsessed with. Mae meets a mystery man who she falls for. Annie tells her he could be a spy. The Circle grows bigger as a company with putting cameras in the world and getting politicians go transparent.  Mae’s ex-boyfriend, her parents,  and the mystery man tells her that the company needs to stopping growing, but she doesn’t listen to them.  The mystery man turns out to be the founder of the company.  Mae even pitches an idea to make everyone vote through The Circle’s tools.  Annie ends up in a coma at the end, and Mae thinks up another pitch of getting inside everyone’s thoughts.

I can’t wait to see the movie.  Now I’m listening to Apollyon by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins which I’m going to finish listening to on Saturday.

You can get The Circle at Wordery.com, Kobo.com, and Downpour.com.

The Month of June

Yesterday was was my uncle’s birthday. He is 65 years old now. My mother gave him a funny card and some dish towels. I sent him a text.

Today would have been my other uncle’s birthday. I’m going to light a candle and listen to some music for his birthday.

I hope to see a movie with Chris this month. I want to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. So nothing much is happening this month.
