I finished listening to City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare yesterday. It is the fifth book of the Mortal Instruments book series. There are six books in the series. I have the sixth book on hold.

In City of Lost Souls, Jace is missing. Clary and the others decide to look for Jace on their own. Jace and Sebastian sneak in the Institute, and Clary sees them. Then Jace sees Clary alone and tries to get her to join them. Clary ends up doing that. She finds out what Sebastian’s plans are. Simon summons an angel to get a sword that will break the bond between Sebastian and Jace. Sebastian’s plans were to get a dark army together. Clary uses the sword on Jace and the dark army dies. Sebastian escapes.
I did like this book. I hope I will like the last book. Now I’m reading Incubus Dreams by Laurell K Hamilton.
